Low Carb Breakfast – Simple And Easy

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It jump starts your brain so that you can cope with whatever work you have to do. What does a low carb breakfast consist of? It can be almost anything as long as it is low in carbohydrates, steak and eggs, an omelet with ham, mushrooms, peppers and cheese toped with sour cream, pancakes and even French toast. You can make French toast with low carb bread, but here is a delicious lower carbs breakfast treat, a unique French toast.

Low Carb French Tortilla Toast

  • 2 low carb tortillas cut in 4 pizza style
  • 1 tsp water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet sugar substitute
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp butter (for frying)

Beat eggs with water until frothy. Stir in sweetener and cinnamon. Melt butter in a skillet, set heat level a bit higher then medium. Skillet is ready when a drop of water sizzles. Dip tortilla pieces in egg mixture and fry until both sides are gold brown. Serve with butter and low carb syrup. Or try this reduced carb topping. Mix 1 tsp of sugar free jam with 1 ½ tbsp water and microwave for 45 seconds.
