Now that you are committed to a low carb diet, do you know how to cook the lower carbs way? Unlike low fat diets, everything does not have to be baked or broiled. You can fry your chicken and even bread it! Low carb cooking uses butter and or vegetable oil for frying and toasted reduced carb bread to make the coating. Most low carb diet plans make liberal use of fats and oils in their recipes.

They may not taste the same as the version you used make but there is a lower carbohydrate double mushroom soup that will delight even the most discriminating of you non carber friends.

You can buy reduced carbs flours made from rye, oats or almonds and Atkins Nutritional makes a bake-mix which can be used for low carb biscuits, dumplings, pancakes and waffles. You can also buy a lower carb flour made from soy. Cooking low carb meals is no more difficult than cooking low fat. So relax and dig up some recipes for meals that are low in carbs.
