Low Carb Bread – Easier Then Ever

One of the things people on lower carb diets miss the most is bread. However, if you know where to look, you can find low carb bread, or reduced carbohydrate bread mix.

If you are not into baking or just don’t have the time, you can buy low carbs breads at some supermarkets and on the internet. Just type low carb bread into your search engine, and you should find lots of links to sites that sell the bread mixes and or sliced bread.

Atkins Nutritional, sells bread mix and loaves of sliced bread with 3 carbs, per slice. Other sites sell low carb mixes, and corn bread mix. There are dozens of sites that have wonderful recipes for breads including low carb versions of rye bread, cheddar cheese and foccacia breads as well as muffins of all varieties. You can even get low carb breadsticks, on line. Most on line recipes call for the use of bread machines, although some give both machine and oven baked versions of the same bread. There are also some recipes for just the oven only method.

A company that sells regular bread ( high carb) Nature’s Own, in supermarkets, also sells Reduced carb sliced bread on the internet. It isn’t as low in carbs as some other breads, with 5 carb grams per slice, but the taste and price is well worth the 2 extra carbs .Nature’s Own is $2.59 a loaf as opposed to Atkins low carb sliced bread for $4.15 a loaf. So , you can still have bead ,after the induction phase, of your diet, if you make sure that you stay within your daily carb count.
